SPECIALIST WORKSHOPS

ABOUT OUR DESIGN, craft and print WORKSHOPS

Print as a technique is used across the workshops from direct printing with stencils and slips in the pottery to lino, wood block, mono-printing and screen-printing in textile, wood, craft and art workshops. Printmaking offers avenues for creating strong designs across abilities.

Designs created throughout the workshops are used to develop a range of greetings cards that highlight individual skills and the extensive range of work that is produced at Workshop 305.

Craft is a term for using all sorts of materials that don’t necessarily fit into any particular category! Paper-making is a craft and is a prime example of how we recycle materials within the workshop. All sorts of unwanted paper products are blended and reconstituted in the paper-making process.  We use it as a sculptural medium and in some of the hand-made cards that we produce.
